Kimmo Pohjonen UZone explores the new and unknown in this new solo piece, in which the accordion is an electronic machine that creates image and light in addition to a real-time layered soundscape. UZone has also been adapted for small orchestra and was performed with the Classical Beat Orchestra in Travemunde, Germany in July 2021.

Finnish accordion adventurist and composer Kimmo Pohjonen is known for revolutionizing accordion music and visual performances. Pohjonen’s way of playing and producing sounds is very exceptional at a global level. Pohjonen is one of the few artists to create a genre of his own through his compositions and unique projects. He has been touring the world regularly for the last thirty years in festivals, events and venues of all genres.
